Season:

It is typically Summer all year round in Cebu, with a humid climate. Wet season is usually around June-December, where typhoons can be experienced. The hottest is between March-May.

Getting Around Cebu:

The main mode of transport in Cebu are Jeepney, Buses and Taxi. The most convenient transport to get around is by taxi.

The Locals:

Filipinos in general are very friendly, and accommodating. Please be respectful when dealing or interacting with the locals.

Shopping:

Shopping is one of the to-do list when in Cebu. Whether it’s buying local-made products to foreign goods, Cebu offers a range of selections. For shopping, we recommend Ayala Center Cebu, SM City Cebu and SM Seaside malls.

Getting to Cebu:

Cebu has a network of connecting by air and sea.

By Air:

There are regular Domestic flights from Manila (1 hour flight), as well as other neighbouring cities such as Davao, Cagayan de Oro, IloIlo, Clark, and Palawan to name a few.

Cebu is also served by several international flights from Seoul (4 hour flight), Tokyo, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong (2 and a half hour flight), Taipei, Dubai, and China which has great connections from Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

By Sea:

Ferry boats depart Manila to Cebu daily, and from main ports of the Visayas and Mindanao region to Cebu. You can also take a fast craft to Cebu from Bohol (2 hour journey), Dumaguete and Siquijor.

Airport:

Mactan Cebu International Airport is located in the island of Mactan, and takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour to get to Cebu City (depending on traffic). The easiest to get there is by taxi, although there are also buses running from SM City Cebu Mall to Mactan Airport and back.
